Your Business’ Contract During COVID-19

Your business’ contract may have a term that will afford you relief from performance during COVID-19
We at a A Business Law Firm, help business owners in the Carolinas. The outbreak of the Coronavirus has caused many businesses to either reduce production or entirely shut down; thus, they are not able to perform under their outstanding contracts. However, many contracts may have a clause that affords them some relief in a time when they cannot control or prevent events, such as a pandemic. If you want to know if your contract has a force majeure term, feel free to reach out to us at 864-699-9803.

As you may be aware, both North Carolina and South Carolina have confirmed cases of Coronavirus (COVID-19).  It appears from news sources that Spartanburg County may have at least one confirmed case of COVID-19. Our Firm wants to assure our clients that we are taking precautions to help prevent the spread of infection.  A couple of simple examples are the daily wiping of door handles with disinfecting wipes, and having hand sanitizer available to our clients at the office. We are also implanting the CDC’s recommendations including:
  1. Frequently wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds;
  2. Avoid touching your eyes, nose, or mouth with unwashed hands; and
  3. Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
We at the firm are prepared to handle this virus and to keep working to handle all your business and estate needs. If you are feeling sick, then please free to contact our office to reschedule your appointment until you are feeling well. Thank you for your business, stay healthy and have a great week!   For more tips on how to stay safe:
